And I’m Older

May 18, 2008 10:54 pm

I turned 27 today.

How the f*ck did that happen?

Anyway, it’s been a great weekend (minus the killer cold). Hung out with a lot of friends, had some good drinks, a kickass Filet Mignon, and even played some poker.

On top of that, I spent the whole weekend with the love of my life.

We were sick together. Yep, the two of us, sitting around all day, just a couple of sickies in love.

Oh, and did I mention that it’s been ridiculously effing hot out? Yeah, try that in an apt with no AC and being all sick like. Fun times.

I’m talking of course about Speed Racer.

It was just friggin awesome.

If you want a description, the best I could say is imagine watching a Nascar Race at night. ON ACID.

Oh Yes, it was awesome.

I was just sitting there watching in awe. Great job Wachowski Brothers (or whatever the weird brother is now).

Some good news

Well, Kaeo had his Tumor Removal Surgery yesterday.

Everything went well, and he is home now doing just fine. He has a major incision (6 inches!) down his left front shoulder/leg, and it’s gonna be a long, patient recovery time.

Today he is alot more alert, and trying to be far more active than he should. He unfortunately keeps trying to lick it, so I had to put the lamp-shade on him, which just depresses him even more. The funny thing is that he apparently knows how humiliating or sad it looks, and he absolutely refuses to go outside with it on.

Good thing I’ve got GTA4 while I’m home watching him, or else I might get cabin fever or something. Speaking of it, I’m gonna go steal some cars and run some people over. Have a nice day!

Just shutup about the f*ckin score already!

I’ve been working on day shift for the past couple of weeks. I don’t usually have to deal with sports scores on night shift, especially not playoff scores out of Detroit (since I’m out here on the west coast). And even so, most of the guys I normally work with already know not to tell me scores unless I ask. But on day shift, no, not so much. And today, I was checking the Tigers-Red Sox score when a day-shifter walks up and starts talking to me about it. Here is a rundown of our conversation.

Day-Shifter: So, do you like basketball as well?

The Chad: Yep, I like alot of sports

DS: I was watching the Pistons game at home, it’s like 73-76 I thin..

The Chad: SHUTUP SHUTUP SHUTUP

DS: What?

TC: I’m Recording it and wanna watch it when I get home. I don’t wanna know the score.

DS: Oh, well it’s okay. The games not over. It’s close I think.

TC: SHUT. UP.  I don’t want to know.

DS: I think it’s still third quarter, so there’s still plenty of time for the score to change.

The Chad: I DONT WANT TO KNOW. STOP FUCKING TALKING ABOUT IT. JUST SHUT. THE FUCK. UP. I’m going to watch it the second I get home, so if you say one more word about it, I’m gonna shove this [confidential material] right in your freakin’ eyeball.

Seriously, WTF? What part of SHUT THE FUCK UP don’t people understand, especially when it comes to sports scores?

PS: Oh, and the Pistons won, going up 2-0 in the series.

‘Twas a good ole fashion SPANKIN’

So, I dunno if ya’ll watch sports as much as I, but if you watched the games that I did, or even at least saw all the scores, you may have noticed that last night was just a complete beat down by Detroit.

Not just the Pistons.

Not just the Red Wings.

Not even just the Tigers (if you can believe it from them the way this season started).

But all around. From everyone.

The Pistons took the Eastern Conf Semis with a stunning 23 point win over the 76ers.

The Tigers swept the Yankees in their last series ever at Yankee Stadium.

The Red Wings flat out BITCH SLAPPED the Colorado Avalanche 8-2 to sweep the Division Semi-finals.
