And the worker is:

April 22, 2006 3:25 pm

ME!

Yeah, I’ll be going back to work. But not until next Sunday. While my doctor was pretty adament about sending me back to work, I managed to convince him to give me an extra week (soaking up all that leave pay possible), as I REALLY, REALLY, did not want to start work tonight. Who wants their first night back to work to be not only the very next day, but a Saturday night? Screw that. So, I’ve got a week to back on a regular night shift sleep pattern.

On to the Red Wings. Man, did they pull that win out of thier ass or what? Really, down 2 to 1 near the end of the 3rd, and Maltby gets some lucky ass deflection off the shaft of his stick to tie it up, and then they take it into double overtime. Now, at the end of the first overtime, I was already totally stressed out, and I was due to go to a bbq. So, as soon as the OT period ended, I took the dogs out very quickly, and then raced my ass over to Josh and Dave’s. And the second I got into thier house, I ordered the channel switched over to the game, just as the second OT period was starting. And then, another miracle shot from Maltby, putting it off an Oilers stick right into theĀ goalies five-hole, and SCORE!!!

And today, well, you could say today is detox day. I have drank and smoked so much of everything in the past couple weeks, I needĀ a sit down day with just water and misc. playoff games (none of which I really care about, as both the Pistons and Red Wings dont play until Sunday). It really might be a good idea to just give my liver, lungs, and stomach lining a break for a day.

Reading that re-cap made me weep. I’m so upset with my team this year.

Good luck to your team, though. I’m going to cry.

If there’s a wing there’s a way…That’s what I’ve heard some Detroit fans say. I used to be a huge Blues fan until all the guys moved to Detroit and now I’m torn. STL blows and I’m stuck cheering for a team because I like the players…meh…I hope the Wings win. Can’t help it.

Yeah. and they fucking lost! damnit. having an even series going back to edmonton…not good. But, then again, the Wings do have the best road record in the league, so we’ll see.
