Detroit Rock City

Well, the Pistons did what they usually do. Come back when their backs are against the wall. How about that game 7, huh? Holding Lebron to practically nothing in that second half. And you gotta give it up for Lindsay Hunter. He was a total difference maker late in the Third and early in the Fourth. And now, Miami (who have been on vacation all week).

Also, The Detroit Tigers are once again back on top. They won again today, their 9th win in the past 10 games, and the Chicago White Sox lost, which puts the Tigers a full game ahead in First Place. Go Tigers!

Moving on. We actually got some REAL weather here in Oregon today. A real Thunderstorm. With lightning and all. It made work a complete bitch (well, not for me, but for the most of my teammates and other coworkers), but it was nice to actually see some different weather other than just plain old FUCKING RAIN.

Also in the news today, they demolished the old Nuclear facility up in Washington this morning. I plan to have a video of it posted on Tuesday. It rocked. This facility has long been thought to be the basis behind the Simpsons Nuclear plant in Springfield, as not only does it look just like it, but also becouse Matt Groening grew up here in Oregon.

UPDATE: I’m lazy, and decided not to go through the hassle of hooking the lappy up to my dvr and trying to get the transfer working, so I’ll just go ahead and give you a link to a great video of the Trojan Nuclear Cooling Tower Implosion. It’s Rocksor.

I’m pissed off the Piston’s won…The Cavs rolled over and died, which was a shame.

Nah, they didn’t exactly roll over and die. The Pistons just decided to finally flip the switch on their kick ass defence. Did you see the way they ‘D’ed up in the fourth. Nothin’ was getting by them. Especially the “King”.

I remember when they brought down the King Dome in Seattle years ago. I was livign across the Puget Sound and watched it on the news, then walked outside, and heard the crash. Yeah, the sounds traveled pretty far, but it had nothing but open water to stop it.
