My Costume Pisses People off….
October 31, 2006 2:00 pmAlright, a bunch of people in the office building I’m currently working at dressed up today. I did not. However, there is this one guy here that walks around with an obvious arrogant chip on his shoulder, as though he’s unable to actually let his arms hang at his sides. He keeps them out as to show off his “guns”. Yeah. So as I had was coming back froom getting my 16th cup of coffee, he walks by, jokingly says to me: Hey, what’d you dress up as? I quickly replied: A busy guy who’s in no mood to deal with dumbass questions, but apparently it’s not as effective as I’d hoped.
I’m so glad I’m only here one more day.

Vampire Time
9:15 amAbout four years ago I was cruising through a Maxim, when I came across an article about a new type of wine for Halloween, Vampire Wine. Well, I was just getting into a small wine phase at the time (not knowing about the disastrous hangovers to follow) and figured that I needed to check it out. When I finally found it, I got a couple bottles, as a friend of mine also wanted to try it. Anyway, I took it home, popped the cork, and poured a few glasses for me and my roommates. And here were my first thoughts:
HOLY HEAVY DRY MOUTH BATMAN!
Yeah, not sure where the batman came from, but anyway, it is some dry shit. After that year, I never saw it again. I looked for it every fall, but to no avail. Until this week. R and I had just got back from playing pool (where I kicked ass), and needed some more beer to hold us over. As we were walking back to the cashier, I glanced down at the wine sidecap, and what before my wandering eyes did appear? VAMPIRE WINE!
And now, I once again have heavy, dry, wonderful wine to enjoy this Halloween.
I just gotta keep it to a couple glasses. I really don’t need a hangover since I’m plannning on meeting my work buddies down at the bar Wednesday morning after I get up (as they’ll just be getting out of work to start their weekend).

What Do I Think - Numero Sixo
October 30, 2006 10:13 amYou know what? Fuck it. These are my thought whether you like ‘em or not.
I Think:
Stephen Colbert would win if he ran for President. And he probably would do a better job.
Some Parents of this world need to realize one important fact: They Are The Parents. They Set The Rules. Kids do not get to spend all day playing video games and getting fat and sissified if the parents make them get up and outside doing something productive.
Jon Stewart would also win a bid for President. I so wish he and Colbert would run together.
The Detroit Lions suck as much as always.
If Amp’d Mobile were serious in getting their wireless service off the ground, they wouldn’t feature total DUMBASSES in their commercials.
Medical Insurance is good until you actually need them. Bastards.
Heroes, while a cool show, irritates the shit out of me with a bunch of dumbass bullshit, like that crap the two japanese guys pulled in Vegas. WTF?
Ghost Hunters rocks, even for a non-believer like myself.
I’m kind of weirded out that Michelle Branch has made the switch to Country Music as one-half of The Wreckers.
This Tenth Season of South Park is kicking ass, while Drawn Together is getting kind-of retared…er.
I can’t wait for the Fraggle Rock Movie.
I’m really pissed that the Halo Movie is close to being cancelled. Fuckers.
I could care less about politics. They’re all crooked. I vote based on my beliefs, not on the candidate or party. And I really don’t give a damn about mid-term elections, as if it really matters. I have such a hard time believing that my little vote is going to change how much I pay in taxes or for gas. Sorry, but there are too many old-time party-for-life(political party) voters out there to make a dent. (sorry for bringing politics into this blog!)
Mike Tyson needs to go away. For good. Really, fighting women? Take your meds, sit down, shut the fuck up for once in your life (or at least quit talking like Porky on speed), and leave the rest of the world alone.
The Red Wings need to get their shit together now that they’ve lost both Stevie Y and Shanny.
I think I’m done for now. Now go have a beer and ponder my thoughts.

Looking Forward
October 29, 2006 10:40 amAlrighty then. Now that the World Series is over, I can get back to the usual. While I’m currently working on a new header image for another guys site, I plan to make some changes around here in the future.
First off, while my template is pretty clean and I like the setup, I’ve noticed it can take a long time to load. I didn’t make it, hell, I have no clue how to make a template. Anyway, the current one comes with a lot of bells and whistles that I dont use. I really wish I could get a stripped down version of it without all the crap. Also, my header image is pretty large in size, but I can’t really do much about it without degrading the quality of the image(or make a smaller one, but where’s the fun in that?). So, I found a new template the other day that I like, and will be working on it with my practice site until I get everything set up the way I want it.
Second, as much as I love watching and complaining about movies, I just don’t feel like keeping the Movie Review site open anymore. I’ve barely been watching any movies lately, and even then, I don’t feel like logging on and writing about them. Awhile back, I got asked to start putting my reviews on Suggest A Movie, however, after writing several of them, I realized it just wasn’t for me. I think if I could find a blog/forum engine with plugins to work well with IMDB (and didn’t require me to write my own code every single entry) I might think about doing it again, but I doubt it.
Lately I’ve just been taking on so much online I think I bored myself with it. I love this site, and it ain’t going anywhere. But I also have a family friendly blogger blog (some of you may have seen me use it battles) that I tell all my relatives about, and lately I’ve found myself almost cloning what I write here over there, only without all the fun details and colorful language, and that is not what I want. I want unique content in both places, and lately I’ve been stretched too thin to do so.
Anyway, dont worry. I’m not throwing in the towel or hanging up my blogging hat or anything like that. The World Of Chad will remain, and will stay as awesome as always.

Total Heartbreak
October 27, 2006 8:26 pmWell, what can I say. I’m not going to go off on a rant like I did last time. I can’t begin to tell you how unhappy I am. Some people just wouldn’t understand. I was 3 yrs old the last time the Tigers won the World Series. Needless to say, I don’t remember it. I doubt I even watched it. This is a team I have loved my entire life. I’ve never been a bandwagon type of guy when it came to the Tigers. That’s why I have them tattoo’d on my arm. And that came during their worst season ever. To see them get this far and then just fall flat on their face, I just can’t explain how I feel. I guess all I can do is be happy with how far they got, as the reigning American League Champions. As they were basically a nearly brand new team this year, I really cant complain a whole lot about that.
As for the loss, I guess if I were to take a look at the situation, I would look at the the players themselves. 1 of their starting pitchers and 2 relief pitchers are rookies. ROOKIES. Sure, they all had a great season, and can all pitch in the upper 90’s, even 100+MPH on occasion, but they’re all younger than I am, and I can tell you, I’d be nervous as hell if I were a 23 year old rookie as a starting pitcher in the World Series.
Several factors led to the Tigers losses. Number one was errors. Lots and lots of needless errors, mainly becouse of misjudgements or in too much of a hurry. Second was the hitting. They just weren’t hitting at all. Whether they just dried up or the Cardinals pitching was too much, they just werent doing the job. Third was just plain pitching. Especially Verlander in game 5. He was all over the place in the first few innings.
All in all, The St Louis Cardinals Won. Congrats to the Cardinals. Now, I’m gonna go drink it off. I think I’ll finish around Monday morning. I think the one thing that irritates me the most about this is Jeff Weaver. He is a good pitcher. I never understood why the Tigers traded him in the first place. At the time, he was the best pitcher they had, and they sent him to the Yankees. And now, he beat the team that didn’t want him.
P.S. I really hope I don’t have to wait another quarter century to see the Tigers back in the WS. I’ve seen the Pistons and Red Wings win their sports in the past few years. Now all I need is the Tigers and Lions, and I’m not counting much on the Lions.
