The hard drive on my main compy crapped out on me the other day. Completely dead. It makes such nice noises when I try and turn it on. Such an awesome drive gone down the drain. With all my crap on it. I backed up some of the more important stuff (music, taxes, porn, etc…)but I lost all my header image psd files, along with a bunch of other misc crap that I kind of miss. But, thats how it goes I guess. Luckily I still have the lappy with most of the same stuff on it. Anyway, I pulled out the smaller tester Hard Drive and installed Ubuntu Linux on it. I’ve been meaning to do this for quite awhile, but in the past I could never get the drivers for my video card to work, so I gave up. But, I finally got it, and now my main compy is back up and runnin’ with Linux.

 This will probably only be temporary, however (unless it turns out to be totally badass), as sometime this week I’ll be getting my free Core 2 Duo Chip from work, and all I’ll have to buy is a new motherboard and maybe some RAM (and possibly a new HD and maybe, just maybe, Vista). And in the future, an HDMI video card. and fanless power supply. and water cooling system. and cablecard reader.     I gotta stop dreaming.

 I absolutely cannot wait for this weekend. On Thursday, I might go snowboarding again. Friday, Frank Millers 300 comes out. And on Saturday, I’m taking the night off of work and going to TequilaCon Baby! I’ve been getting emails all day from the people coming talking about it, and now I’m even more psyched then ever. The only bad part is that there isn’t a direct route with the Max to get there (and I freaking hate taking the bus), so it looks like I’ll be driving.
