The Crazies and the Norms

August 25, 2007 10:58 am

Well, I’m pretty much all moved into the new place. I’m about 97% unpacked. All thats left is crap I never use, like my old college books and a shitload of dvd cases. I’ve still some stuff over at the old place, but most of that crap is going to goodwill.

And next week, I get to clean the old place. And damn, I am really, REALLY, not looking forward to it.

I’ve met a few of my new neighbors. There are two nice Women who live on the left (facing the apartement on the outside) who seem pretty normal.

Now the people on the right, however, they are a totally different story. Aparently the Old Lady that lives there has taken in her friend and her daughter as they recently got kicked out of their old place. And they are fucking WEIRD. This lady heard my dogs bark yesterday and decided to pop into my window and start talking to them, while I was right there putting my computer together. This was not the first time she had done this. It’s really starting to creep me out. Oh, and the woman that actually lives there, who I have yet to meet, I think she is like the local baby sitter or something. I always see parents dropping off and picking up kids. Good thing I don’t hear them, becouse that would just piss me right the fuck off.

Comcast is supposed to come over today to setup my cable and internet. It’s about fucking time, becouse not having tv is starting to suck. Internet, however, it’s not such a big deal. There are actually some people who still don’t know how to protect their WIFI router. So, I’ve been jacking some dudes wifi for the past few days.

Prices have finally come down enough for me to build my Core 2 Duo computer, or at least upgrade my current computer with the Core 2 Duo. All I’m gonna need is a new motherboard and RAM. I wasn’t planning on doing it anytime soon, as I thought my computer was a complete badass.  But, after 4 years of thinking that, I’ve finally come down from that cloud. The BioShock demo showed me that it is nowhere near a badass title anymore. With everything set to high detail, the computer couldn’t handle it and had to reboot. So, I set all the graphics to medium detail, and while the computer could take it, it still ran a little sluggish. Yep, time for the Core 2 Duo upgrade.
