My Halloween Costume is my bed.
October 31, 2007 4:57 amYeah, since I get out of work today at 7:30am, and I gotta be back here at 7am Thursday, I’m probably gonna be sleeping most of the time and wont be partaking in any Halloween activities.
I’ve mentioned the last few months of my desire for the Helio Ocean when my nextel contract is up in January. Alas, a snag had hitteth my plans. After playing around with an iPhone a couple of times, and Dave going on and on and on and on 
about how awesome his iPhone is, I had come to the idea yesterday that I may in fact go crawling back to AT&The Devil to get my iPhone. Well, I spent my break time this morning vastly researching both phones, comparing each mobile device down to the tiniest micronial detail (if you don’t know what a micron is, just accept that a single hair is approx 60 microns wide). \
Anyway, after such extensive investigating, I believe I have come to a decision (barring the idea that a newer, better phone comes along in the meantime).
The Helio Ocean is my prime choice.
While it does suck that it doesn’t have wifi, and only a max of 2gb storage, it has other things I prefer. First, the wifi isn’t really needed much as it operates off of Sprints 3G network, and the rate plans offer unlimited browsing. That kind of makes the wifi unnecessary unless you’re in a non 3G area.
I like the fact that it has a full qwerty keyboard, as I dont really care to touch the screen just to type. Also, I have a 2 way pager for work, so I’ve developed extremely fast mini-keyboard typing skills. The camera, while the same 2MP resolution as the iPhone, it also has a flash. Not only that, but the phone is equipped with gps, which it also uses to tag your photos with.
There may be a few other reasons, but those are the big ones. Now we’ll just have to wait and see if anything bigger (smaller) and better comes out between then and now. I hear google is making their own phone…hmmm…..
