This was a small discussion between a couple of friends of mine the other day.

Friend #1 - One time back when I used to live in ____, we ran out of weed, so we tried smoking sagebrush.

Friend #2 - (laughing hysterically) WHAT?!?

#1 - Yeah, we were bored and wanted to find something else to use.

#2 - You don’t think someone in the past has tried smoking sagebrush? I’m sure the indians at some point tried it.

#1 - Hey, we needed something to smoke!

#2 - Yeah, you’re not gonna just “find” another plant to smoke. They’ve all been tried. It’s not like you’re gonna go pick a dandelion and decide to smoke it, magically finding that it gets you high.

#1 - We still had to try.
