Snowboarding.
November 30, 2007 9:43 pmFinally, we headed up to Mt Hood today and hopped on our boards.
And it was fun. lotsofun.
I really didn’t fall much, and it all came back to me pretty quickly. There was really only one bad part of the day when Des and I collided. I thought she was taking an upcoming turn wide, so I swung in behind her and proceeded to turn into the curve, trying to play and carve a little. Next thing I know, she is yelling for me to move out of the way. I look back and see her darting right for me. I do all I can to get my legs out of the way of her board (I’m basically perpendicular to her at this point, at least I think). And then, in some fashion, we go down. I’m not really sure what happened, or even how or where we hit. It happened pretty fast. I felt a small strain on my left ankle, but it turned out to be fine. The only part that really sucked for me was the faceplant, as I didn’t have my goggles on as they were all fogged up.
As soon as I got up I checked on Des to see if she was ok, and she said she was fine. After catching out breath, we continued down the run.
On the way home I basically just sat there in the backseat and closed my eyes for a majority of the trip.
It was a good day.

I still really wish I could have seen that. I’m still waiting for her do to that to me.
and when she does, hopefully I’ll be there with a video camera.
