Life should be in HD

December 26, 2007 12:29 pm

Now that I have my HD-DVD player, I’m quite happy. At first I was kind of pissed becouse I didn’t think I could see the difference, mainly becouse my tv, while it may be HD, it’s an older standard projection HDTV that only goes to 1080i. However, it was probably just the movies I was watching at first where I couldn’t see it. But after watching The Kingdom in HD, let me tell ya, that shit is just plain bad-ass (and the movie was freakin awesome as well).

It’s just so clear and nice.

And all the extra crap it can do? I’ve never really been one to watch all the extra crap they put on dvd’s, unless it’s an awesome movie and I wanna watch the deleted scenes or whatever. However, this new stuff is pretty cool. It even gave me history lessons and other info throughout the movie (if I turned it on). That shit was pretty freakin cool.

Anyways, how was ya’lls christmas? Mine was awesome, minus the fact I wasn’t back in MI with family. But, I was with the next best thing, my best friends. Combine that with the fact that it actually snowed (yes, it Snowed In Oregon on Christmas Day. How awesome is that?) along with watchin’ some movies in glorious HD, it was a great day.

Repost: My Favorite Christmas Songs

December 24, 2007 12:00 pm

Alright, so here are some of my favorite christmas songs. They are not the usual christmas songs (I freaking hate standard christmas music!). So, some of them are serious songs, others are fun. Enjoy!

John Berry - Oh Holy Night

Joe Diffie - Leroy, The Redneck Reindeer

Kathy Matea - Mary, Did You Know?

Jeff Foxworthy - Redneck 12 Days of Christmas

Restless Heart - Little Drummer Boy

Red Peters - Holy Shit! It’s Christmas

Alan Jackson/Allison Krause - The Angels Cried

Ray Stevens - Santa Clause is Watchin’ You!

Reba McEntire - The Christmas Guest

Jeff Foxworthy - The Night After Christmas

Collin Raye - What if Jesus Came Back Like That?

Update: I just had to throw this in here. In case you haven’t heard it yet, this is Twisted Sister with their own version of “Oh Come All Ye Faithful”. It rocks.

I hate the flood

December 22, 2007 6:11 pm

I’ve been playing Halo 3 alot. A-FREAKING-LOT.

Why couldn’t they leave the Flood out of this one? I hate fighting the flood. It makes it not even fun anymore. All it really ends up is me trying to stay alive hoping like hell I don’t run out of ammo, which I usually do. It just sucks.

Anyway, I’ve also been playing alot Fight Night Round 3. It’s such a badass game.

Wii’re done playing

Yep, bye bye Wii.

Hello 360.

Yeah, so….I’m selling my wii. I bought an Xbox 360 last night and am now addicted to Halo 3.

Cant I believe in peace?

I wrote the majority of this article awhile ago, and just never felt like it was the right time to publish it. However, when I logged on to Digg today, there were two articles right in a row, fueling the fight of Christianity vs Atheism. Not only did it irritate me a bit going over this crap, but I also found it a bit humorous as just last night they played the Go God, Go South Park episodes (you know, where Cartman freezes himself while waiting for the Wii, and Richard Dawkins starts bangin’ Mr Ms Garrison).

Alright, I’ll be the first to admit it. I’m not the most religious person. I was raised to be, but I’m not. The constant fear of going to hell as a child got old real quick, and it basically backfired. However, I do maintain a faith.

Now, why can’t people just let me have that? Why is it that every time I go to a news site (especially my most favorite site of all, digg.com), I’m basically being called an idiot becouse I might actually believe in a higher power? If someone I know has a different religion (or none at all), then fine. Thats their call. It’s their life.

I’m getting tired of all this “evolution” vs “creationism” bullshit. Why does everything have to come down to one way or the other?

This is why I don’t talk politics or religion with anybody. Ever. I find it amusing that all these so called “athiest” always talk about how christians try to shove thier ideas down peoples throagts, yet have no problem being an absolute dick to people who choose to believe in something greater than themselves.
