I died a little inside today
July 30, 2008 10:37 pmThe Detroit Tigers traded Ivan Rodriguez to the New York Yankees.
Now what am I gonna do with my #7 Pudge Tigers Jersey?
Well, good luck to Pudge in New York. He gave us hope when there was none. He came to us after our 119 loss season. He stayed with us through horrible, horrible times. He helped take us to the World Series. He is one of the greatest catchers of all time. So, he deserves this chance. The Tigers just can’t get their act together this season, and the Yankees, as always, are in contention for a shot at the World Series. He will be missed.
However, he is now my enemy. (i hate the fucking yankees!)

Still Here
July 28, 2008 10:23 pmYeah, I’ve been gone for awhile. So, in the last month, I’ve been pretty busy.
We went up to Seattle for the 3rd and 4th of July to watch a couple baseball games. The Detroit Tigers were in town, and just our luck, they lost both games. We also watched fireworks over the bay, visted Bruce Lee’s grave, and as per tradition, went to Pikes Place.
We went camping last weekend. We found a really nice place over near Tillamook, so it was a nice short drive (unlike the 3 hour trip the previous years). I found a new Cabelas store on the way to Seattle, so I picked up a new Cast Iron cooking set, which kicks ass. I made a pot roast in the dutch oven over the fire, and it was just great. I loves my cast iron.
I finally picked up the the final piece of the puzzle to my new computer. I got a new chip from work awhile back, the quad-core 9650 (look it up if you’re interested). I had a new motherboard and ram, but just now got a new cpu cooler. Once I finally put it together, the dual boot setup must have got screwed up or something, so I basically ended up having to reinstall windows (and cant use linux, for now). That sucked. However, the cpu cooler is just a giant heat sink with a basic case fan, so it’s uber (AND I MEAN UBER) quiet. Like, really, really quiet. Ah, and the computer fucking screams. It is just unbelievably fast. It used to take me over 20 minutes to compress a dvd copy. Now it only takes 5. Fucking fast. Now all I need is the 50ft HDMI cable, the tv tuner, and possibly a remote. This thing is just badass.
Jennie and I celebrated 6 months together the other day. I can’t believe I was so lucky to find her.
Well, that should do it for now. Oh, and since I refuse to pay for flickrs storage fees, I haved moved all my pictures over to Picasa. You can check them all out here.

Dear Microsoft,
July 9, 2008 10:13 pm0 for 2, 2 for 4
July 8, 2008 4:51 amWe went up to Seattle again this weekend to watch the Detroit Tigers play the Seattle Mariners. We got there Thursday, and watched the first game while having dinner at Fox Sports Grille. The Tigers won 8-4. Then, we went to the game on Friday, July 4th and Saturday. The Tigers of course lost both of them. They then proceeded to win on Sunday. Bastards.
Also while in Seattle, we visited Bruce Lee’s grave. That was pretty cool.
We also watched Fireworks over the bay on the waterfront. That was pretty cool, minus the smelly guy that just HAD to sit close to me, and seemed to keep creeping closer.
Oh yeah, and since I was wearing my Ivan Rodriguez Tigers Jersey, some mexican dude asked me if that was my name, Rodriguez. Becouse, you know, I look totally mexican and all.
Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot from the last trip to Seattle. I made a panoramic from the top of the Space Needle.
