A sh!tty day.

August 22, 2008 12:21 am

So yesterday, Fezgig started yelping in pain again, and walked funny and everything just like the last time. The time I took him to the vet for $600 in test and they found nothing wrong. So, I started him out on some of the pills I had left over. They seemed to help a little (even though they turned out to be diarreah meds instead of pain meds). Thats when I went to bed. And this is the day I had today.

Wake up. Take dogs out. Clean Kitchen. Take shower. Eat Breakfast. Play on web.

I had a team function for work to go to, a picnic out at a lake. That is when things started going downhill.

First, I wanted an iced coffee from McDonalds. The drive through line was out of the parking lot, so I went to Starbucks instead. The iced latte tasted like crap.

Then, I tried to call my dad about our surprise trip back home. They are about the only people I know who still have dial-up (not really their choice since their wi-max antenna got knocked out in a storm), and my dad is always (ALWAYS) online. So I leave a voicemail. Then, I attempt to send him an email from my phone telling him to get offline so I can call.  And of course, as is the theme of the day, Sprints data system is down. No email.

Then, once I get on the main road to the lake, a Police car flies by me, and then stops and cuts off the road right in front of me, and motions me to turn around. So, I turn around and go back to the highway. I open up google maps and try to find a different road to get to the lake. Oh yeah, I forgot: The fucking data system is down. So, I try to call someone who I know is at the picnic, but absolutely no one answers ( but I find out that its only becouse theres no signal at the lake).

So, I backtrack about ten miles and find another road that gets me back to the same road I was just on, but just past the log truck that dumped its load all over the road, which is why the cops came and made me turn around. Finally, I get to the lake. Except for one more little issue. I had to pay for the $5 parking pass, which I was unaware of and just pissed me off even more. I even contemplated just turning around and going home from this point. But, I got the pass and proceeded forward.

Once at the picnic, I find only a third of the people expected. While dissapointed, I wasn’t surprised. It was pretty chilly this morning, and the forecast was for rain (fucking weatherman!). It was actually a nice day (fucking weatherman!). So, I hungout for a couple hours, played some cornhole and some other wierd ass game consisting of two golf balls on a rope, tossing them to some pvc pipe, attempting to make them wrap around the pipe. Basically, it was a boring picnic, so I left.

After I got home, Jennie got back from work. All seemed fine as soon as I small her smile. After dinner we were planning on heading out to a movie, and we stopped home to take the dogs out first. Then, Fezgig flipped out. He just refused to come back inside. He just sat there, shaking and folded his ears back. And if I touched him he yelped. Finally we went and got his bed and managed to get him on it so we could take him inside.

I called up the vet and asked their recomedation, which of course was to bring him in right away. I explained the situation and how he had the same issue as last time, and that I couldn’t afford to run the same tests just to find nothing wrong, just like last time. All I wanted was some pain meds for him, which did the trick last time. But, no can do says the vet. Luckily, I found some of the pain meds from last time (this time they were the actual pain meds, not the anti diarreah meds), and within a half hour he was just fine.

And that was my shitty day, but luckily I had a beautiful woman with an wonderful smile to make it all better.
